Senior Vice President of Supportive Care Operations
Angela brings more than ten years of dedicated nursing experience to her position as Senior Vice President of Hospice and Supportive Care Operations. She has a great passion to help people walk through their end of life journey with respect, dignity and compassion. Angela earned her degree in nursing, and is a member of both the NHPCO (National Hospice and Palliative Organization) and CHAPCA (California Hospice and Palliative Care Association).
Angela’s background as a nurse, combined with her drive to help others, allowed her to make a massive impact on how Silverado Hospice operates. Chief among her accomplishments with Silverado Hospice is her role on the creation of the Supportive Care palliative program, which she started in San Diego and later replicated to a number of other Silverado Hospice branches. Additionally, she helped several Silverado Hospice branches through The Joint Commission Accreditation process.
Angela moved from her native Louisiana more than ten years ago. She is grateful for the ability to work in an organization that has a culture fit for her personally and professionally.

Christina Marquez has 20 years of experience working with seniors in the healthcare setting. Ms. Marquez obtained her Masters of Gerontology from California State University in 2002. She began her career in Skilled Nursing Facilities as a Social Services Director, then completed an Administrator in Training program. During her career, marriage took her overseas to Okinawa Japan. While in Japan, Christina worked as a Family Readiness Officer for Marine Air Tactical Squadron 18. Upon returning stateside, Christina quickly realized she had a passion for marketing. Christina worked in several different capacities to include Home Health as an acute liaison, Branch Manager for a home care company, and hospice.
Christina moved to San Diego in 2015, where she worked for several years as a Director of Business Development for Silverado hospice and implemented their first Palliative Care program across 4 California sites. Ms. Marquez was the palliative manager for a Palomar Medical Center contracted hospice and palliative care company during the covid pandemic, where she worked with the inpatient palliative team at Palomar as the bridge between in-patient to community based palliative care. From 2022-2025, she was the Director of Business Development at Shores Hospice. She had the ability to pursue her love for growth strategy and hands on work with patients and their loved ones. Christina is so excited to be joining the Silverado Supportive Team once again!
Christina’s passion is meeting with families, guiding patients in goals of care conversations, and the ability to bring some joy during the most difficult time in a patient’s life. Christina is a Certified Care Manager, POLST certified trainer, and has had extensive training in Advanced Care planning discussions.
When Christina is not working she is enjoys watching her children play sports, hiking with her dogs and going to Disneyland.

This proud California native and married father of two brings an extensive background in hospice care to Silverado Hospice San Diego. Loren S. Novak, DO is board certified in hospice and palliative medicine and dedicates himself to ensuring patients’ comfort and dignity. He is a member of several medical associations, which allows him to keep current and connected with the latest medical innovations and advancements. Dr. Novak completed his internship and residency at University of California, Irvine.

Dr. Anil Hanuman DO, SFHM, FACP is a healthcare executive with 20 years of experience specializing in seniors. He recently cofounded Giatros Health and serves as CMO. Giatros Health is physician lead organization based in Montebello, CA focusing on delivering the highest quality care for seniors. Previously he was the West CMO of CareMore, based in Cerritos, CA.
Dr. Hanuman is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care. He has a passion to deliver care that focuses on quality of life to patients with advanced illness. He has helped start a Palliative Care program at St. Jude and served as Associate Medical Director at St. Joseph’s Hospice.
Dr. Hanuman completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Southern California and has over 20 years of experience as a practicing Hospitalist. He resides in South Pasadena with his wife and two young children. He is excited to help the great team at Silverado Hospice Los Angeles.
